About The Project

My photo
I have over 25 years of experience working in this field producing high quality, innovative, robust artworks that have stood the test of time. I understand and embrace the involvement of community groups and individuals in the development of creative ideas and the design processes of artworks to produce pieces that are sympathetic to their environments while giving the audience, participants and the local community a real sense of ownership.

Maquette Skeleton

The next phase is to start the cladding of the piece. This brings the whole thing to life. I got the scrap materials from my good friends at Ashurst Sheet Metals Ltd and got my trusty welder out. Well six atempts later and I think I have it nailed, one ugly/beautiful scorpion....

It may be difficult to get a sense of scale, this model is 1 metre in length and a fantastic realistic visulisation of how the final artwork will look like.

This, along with the initial sketches will be presented to the Chief Executive and managment team to reach approval for the next phase.....

The first stage of putting any 2-D sketch into a 3-D model is to get the basic structure in place. This helps in the long term to get the practicalities in order
